Family Photo Album
Our guests become in many ways our extended family. Here is a sampling of our family photo album. For more go to the Gallery.
A bevy of beautifies all in one family. We love this girl power!!!
This young family decided to move across country to join family in another state. We loved having them in our home and wish them the very best of luck. We gifted Kailey with a bunny to remind her of all the bunnies in our yard at the House of Hope!
This young family of 4 below (dad at work) stayed with us at our home for 90 days when we were able to offer them an opportunity to restore and rehab a mobile home. With a wonderful group of volunteers, along with other guests, the work was accomplished and they now have affordable housing.
Another family of five who came to be with us for a summer. A wonderful soul in the community came up with a mobile for them to rent at an affordable price. Thanks for spending time with us Joey and family!!
So many friendships among both children and adults are made in community. Below is an example. Kailey and Ian just Chillen!
Dave and Robin, moving to their new home in Oak Harbor. A Board Member continues to mentor them and they still participate in promoting the work of the Coalition.
Not only does Wendy Beaglecome to the House of Hope each Wednesday, she also follows former guests and their children. Below is a picture of Wendy, Angela, a former guest in her new apartment, Marti Bauer Mentor, and Anna from Humans Services having a birthday celebration for Angela.
Wayne and Tasha are seen here volunteering their time at Brookhaven to help an elderly woman in her garden who cannot do the work any longer. We are grateful our guests have a desire to give back to their community.
Here is one happy little girl on her new bike. Grateful we have such a huge yard for our children to play in.
Pictured below are former guests...all strong women who have struggled to make ends meet and to find housing for themselves and their children. The SWHC has been a key player in helping to recently house two of these women and their families. Practicing Hospitality encourages community and ongoing relationships.
Baby Betty was born while her mom was a guest at the House of Hope. We have been very blessed to watch her grow and become our youngest family member.
Former guest Brittany and her very talented daughter Josh came to help us celebrate our year anniversary. We are so grateful to have such a large extended family here on Whidbey Island.
